Ms.Aziz

Ms.Aziz, all of my photos and explanations are located on this blog. I decided to do a blog because I believe that it looks orderly and also easy to understand. My photos were originally done in alphabetical order, but because of the settings, they are now in reverse order.

CAM Plant

The photo above is of an aloe plant, that is also a CAM plant. Being a CAM plant simply means that the aloe utilizes the Crassulacean Acid Metabolism method, because its indigenous habitat is an arid environment. The plant's natural defense to a possible lack of water is to open a carbon fixation pathway at night, that takes in CO2. The CO2 is then fixed and stored, and  is then released during the day.
